In 2022, I had the honour of being a featured artist in the “I AM HERE” Show at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
The show focused on the way artists mark proof of their existence through creation. Notable works from the likes of Basquiat, Warhol and many others were included. The show highlighted how art making flourished throughout the pandemic and invited Canadian artists to send in their work. I, along with many talented artists, was selected to be a featured artist and my painting was included in the show.

“Thank you! Have a nice day! (2023)” is a series of oil paintings that reframe everyday objects and the messages that they impart upon us.
There are objects and pieces that float throughout every person’s life that they never truly see. It becomes easy to forget that these objects take up space, exist in the world with us and will most likely outlive us. In this series I explore the messages that these items give to us by recentering the human intention behind them. In my journey as a graphic designer I found myself in a unique position of noticing. Essentially, it became my job to notice. Typography began to jump out at me from the strangest places. And the most unassuming objects began revealing some sort of intriguing truth.
With this series I ask others to practice the art of noticing. Every object is trying to tell you something, you just have to look up and notice.

Working with Art Students
In 2023, I worked with a High School Visual Arts Teacher located at Winston Churchill High School Texas on a course inspired by my work from my show “Thank you! Have a nice day!”
The students put together a series of questions for me and then got started on their work. It was exciting to see what they came up with. It was a special opportunity for me to see my art take affect in the real world. Below are some examples of their work and a bit of a glimpse into the process of working with this awesome class and their teacher.
